Textbook ambush of armoured vehicle convoy – Ukraine War

A Leopard 2A4 tank performs a textbook ambush on a column of Russian armoured vehicles.

Typical ambush tactics for a convoy. You kill the last vehicle first, because no one else typically has eyes on it, so everyone will be confused for a few seconds. If you kill the first one first everyone knows what is going on instantly. Killing the rear vehicle is not always feasible, however.

Next you kill the first vehicle. You now have a dead vehicle at the rear, and a dead vehicle in the front, and if the road is narrow enough, you have created a kill zone. The convoy cant reverse without going off road, and it cant advance without going off road, either.

You call in artillery immediately on this kill zone. Or, if you’ve timed your ambush right, you put command detonated explosives on the road side and fuck everyone up as they try to get out of the kill zone.

Russian soldier surrenders to drone after his comrade commits suicide

Footage like this has never existed before now.

Russian soldiers are bombed by drones, while attempting to shoot them down and find cover. One Russian is injured badly and commits suicide by dropping his own grenade next to his head.

Another Russian negotiates with the drone via body language and hand signals, before a pamphlet which explains how to surrender is dropped by another drone.

The Russian then makes his way across the battle field, following the drone and barely escaping death several times over.

Ultimately he reaches the Ukrainians and is able to surrender and survive.

Simply astonishing footage.

Incredible trench warfare footage from Ukraine – featuring “The Trench Squire”

Absolutely remarkable and unprecedented combat footage is coming out of the Ukraine conflict.

Below is a GoPro/headcam clip of two Ukrainians fighting from a trench, with one who is too scared to stand up and shoot but helps as much as he can by loading and handing over weapons to his comrade. He has been dubbed the “Trench Squire” by Reddit.

In the second clip, we watch fatal CQB in a trench from the perspective of a drone.

Cheap, mass-produced drones are already being deployed on a daily basis in the conflict in Ukraine. In the future, we can expect vast improvements in drone technology and munitions. Drone swarms and the tactics and technology to counter them will become common-place on any battlefield.

Not only are they being used to accurately drop explosives, drones can work in spotting roles with other elements such as infantry or artillery.

One of the most startling results of the increased use of drones is the high quality footage they record of their own work – bombs, guns, grenades don’t come with their own cameras to record the after-effects in high definition.

Drones are for the first time recording the sad, lonely and disturbing final moments of soldiers on the battlefield – and these videos are now recorded, edited with music by the soldiers and shared online.
