Anti-stab vest saves UK police officer

A man with two knives attempts to stab a police officer. Due to sheer luck, he did not attempt to stab the officer anywhere except the stab-proof vest he was wearing.

A taser was deployed very little practical effect.

Texas officer shoots man who pulls gun during traffic stop

As the suspect exist his vehicle he draws a gun and points it at the police officer. The office fires several shots, with one or more hitting the suspect who is not incapacitated. The officer moves behind his police vehicle for cover and fires again, finally putting the suspect down.

Police restrain mentally ill man, use baton and OC spray without justification

Police in the state of Victoria, Australia use pain compliance to handcuff a mentally ill pensioner.

The police officers used a baton and OC spray to achieve pain compliance as they were unable to handcuff the man by physically controlling him, perhaps due to lack of skill and/or malicious intent. Once he is handcuffed, a garden hose is used to decontaminate the man of OC spray, and this action has been interpreted by the public simply as further means to humiliate the man. An officer pulling out his personal phone to film the event only makes it look worse.

Cop murdered during traffic stop

Police officer gives a mentally unstable Vietnam war veteran far too many chances, falls into verbal looping and fails to act until the gunfight starts. A prime example of why police shoot as soon as the threat of a gun is apparent, and also why they aim for centre mass. It is very difficult to shoot a moving target accurately under stress, especially when that target is shooting back.

Warning, the screams from this police officer as he is murdered are horrific.

The gunman fired 9 rounds from his 40 calibre firearm. Two officers fired approximately 26 rounds from their firearms, and the suspect was struck 18 times.

The aftermath of the gunfight is captured by a motorist driving past. The incredible footage shows police taking cover, assisting victims, and one cop helping another who had been shot. 4 civilians, the gunman and 1 officer were injured in the shootout. The gunman did not survive.
